The engine was a bit warmer than normal

It turns out our heat exchanger was blocked

On the way back from Fitzroy I noticed the engine was running hotter than normal so the next weekend we went out to the boat and I pulled the end caps of the heat exchanger.

From the photo, it's clear what the issue was.  Fi found some suitable wire we could use to push through each tube and clear out the muck.  A few of them were blocked completely that we couldnt clear so a more thorough clean will be required.  Put it back together and went for a test drive.  Much better, temps back to normal.  We now have a new 6 monthly job to do.
